JOYCE B. SIMPSON

Joyce Blankenship Simpson age 79 died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Collegeview Personal Care Home in Columbus . Services will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Bo Bankston and Rev. Shelby Hazard officiating, burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery . Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Simpson was born on Sunday, March 07, 1937 in West Point , MS to the late Albert Ellis "Bus" and Marie Sanders Blankenship. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She was a retired employee of United Technologies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Elbert “Freck” Simpson, her daughter Susan Jeanette Simpson, her sisters Frances Parker, and Mamie Vest and her brothers, Albert “Sonny” Blankenship, and William Raymond “Dick” Blankenship.
