SAMUEL L. PARRA

Samuel L. Parra age 90 died Wednesday, November 02, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital , Columbus MS. Services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Woodland Baptist Church , with Rev. Forest Bo Bankston and Rev. Shelby Hazard officiating, burial with military honors will follow at Vaughn Cemetery . Visitation will be held Saturday from noon until service time at the church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parra was born on Sunday, May 23, 1926 in Columbus , MS to the late Miguel “Mike”and Annie Mae Hodges Parra. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise G. Parra, his son Samuel E. Parra, his sisters, Lola Mae Robertson, Mary Wiggins, Juanita Reeves, Jean Parra, his brothers, Miquel Parra, Jr., William E. Parra, and Jack Parra.
