Robert Edd Ashcraft, age 82, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 10,
2016, at Trinity Healthcare. Funeral services will be Monday, November 14,
2016, at
10:00 AM
at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Taylor
officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery.

Memorial Funeral Home. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Ashcraft was born May 13, 1934, in Fayette, AL, to the late John
Leland and Zella Mae Hughes Ashcraft. He was a graduate of New Hope High
School and member of the First Assemby of God Church. Mr. Ashcraft was a
longtime salesman at various places in Columbus. He had a wonderful sense
of humor and enjoyed story telling and being a jokester. Mr. Ashcraft was
an avid gardner and enjoyed working with wood. In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Shelton Ashcraft, daughter-in-law,
Suzi Ashcraft, and brother, Charles Houston Ashcraft.
Suvivors include his daughter, Vicky Kleppelid and her husband Lyle of
Ridgeland, MS, sons, Keith Ashcraft of Longview, TX, Bruce Ashcraft and his
wife Elaine of Collierville, TN, and Kenny Ashcraft and his wife Jennifer of
Huntsville, AL, sister-in-law, Helga Ashcraft of Columbus, MS,
grandchildren, Whitney Davis, Nikki Stegall, Jenna Cowling, Cody Ashcraft,
Brad Ashcraft, Kristen Walker, Lauren Cook, Cooper Ashcraft, Brady Ashcraft,
and Kyler Ashcraft, and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brad Ashcraft, Brady Ashcraft, Cooper Ashcraft,
Eddie Hudson, Austin Davis, and Greg Lane.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wimp Dailey, Larry Shelton, Bobby Joe
Shelton, and Arnold Rushing.
