Ann L. Alford, age 90, died Friday, November 11, 2016 at Windsor Place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
The daughter of the late Joseph H. and Grace Brewster Alford, Miss Alford was born September 7, 1926 in Columbus, MS. She was a graduate of Stephen D. Lee High School and attended Mississippi State College for Women, now M.U.W. She was co-owner of Alford Drugs and a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and Soroptomist, International. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Joe and Sherry Alford.
She is survived by her niece Mary Katherine Ming and her husband Dennis and several cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jay Cook, Chess Ming, Daryl Ming, and Gary Moore.
