James E. Ratliff
August 12, 1921 — December 24, 2016
Mr. Ratliff was born August 12, 1921, in Sunflower County, MS, to the late Arthur and Vera Ratliff. He was a graduate of Linn High School and was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Ratliff served as the fixed base operator at Golden Triangle Regional Airport for 18 years. He was a member of East End Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ratliff was preceded in death by ten siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Whitten Ratliff of Columbus, MS, sons, Bobby Gerald Ratliff of Jackson, MS, and Michael James Ratliff of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Shannon Ratliff Russell, Hilary Ratliff Delling, Hannah Ratliff, and Stephanie Ratliff, great grandchildren, Luke Russell and Matthew Russell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
