Richard James Carson, age 47, of Columbus, died Monday, January 02, 2017 at Baptist
Memorial
Hospital - Golden Triangle.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at The Refuge, 9939 Hwy 45 North, West Point, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM with Rev. Terry Butler officiating.
The son of Carney Eugene and Ann Lamison Carson, Richard was born November 10, 1969 in Columbus, MS. He was employed by the Army Corps of Engineers as a Park Host at the Columbus Lock and Dam. He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Carson.
He is survived by his son Robert Taylor Carson of Columbus and his parents Gene and Ann Carson of West Point, Ms.
