Ruby Jane Brown Bolton, age 75, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 6,
2017, at her residence. Graveside services will be Sunday, January 8, 2017,
at
3:00 PM
at the Old Booneville Cemetery in Booneville, MS, with Billy
Ferguson officiating. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bolton was born September 25, 1941, in Pontotoc, MS, to the late
Leo and Myrtice Hellums Brown. Mrs. Bolton was a member of the Seventh
Street Church of Christ having moved from Arkansas to Columbus, MS, in 1973.
She started in the banking business working for Union Planters Bank in
Memphis and NBC of Columbus and retired from Cadence Bank. She loved
waiting on her customers and always held them in high regard. She loved the
simple things in life and loved being with her close friends and family.
Mrs. Bolton was known by her customers and friends as Ms. Ruby.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Walter Bolton of Columbus,
MS, son, Paul Bolton and his wife Anna, brother, Johnnie Mac Brown and his
wife Stephanie of Michie, TN, sister, Bettie Kuha of Millington, TN,
grandchildren, Olivia Bolton, Landon Bolton, and Kathryn Bolton, all of
Stantonville, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Cameron Huxford, Dr. James Woodard, and Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care received during Mrs. Bolton's illness.
