ARTHUR SHAW, JR.

Arthur Shaw, Jr. age 91 died Monday, January 09, 2017 at Vineyard Court Nursing Center in Columbus . Services will be held Thursday January 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Shaeffer’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Curtis Bray officiating, burial will follow at Shaeffer's Chapel Cemetery . Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shaw was born on Thursday, June 04, 1925 in MS to the late Jim Tom and Ida Smith Shaw.

He was a member of Shaeffer’s Chapel United Methodist Church , and the retired owner/operator of several bowling establishments in the state. He was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bessie Virginia Worbington Shaw and his daughter Deborah Flora.
