Virginia Anne Smith

Virginia Anne Lehmberg Smith, age 80, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home in Columbus. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery, Causeyville, MS, where her husband James Noel and infant son Noel are buried.
The daughter of the late Charles Edward and Naomi Mynatt Lehmberg, Mrs. Smith was born April 13, 1936 in Columbus. She was a graduate of S.D. Lee Senior High and attended Mississippi State College for Women and Mississippi State College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, loved MSU football and her dogs. She was also a volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, her husband Jimmy and son Noel, she was also preceded in death by her brother Edward and her niece Catherine Cory Lehmberg.
She is survived by her sister Carol Lehmberg of Columbus and her brother and sister-in-law William Mynatt and Kerry D. Lehmberg of Biloxi. She is also survived by her nieces and their families, Caroline, Doug and Savanna Smith of Columbus, Anne Elizabeth , Mark and Justin Meyers of Leesburg, VA and her nephew Jim and Cynthia Dale and children Isabella, Olivia and Dylan of Pensacola, FL, and loyal friend Susan Jones of Columbus.
