LURA "MARY" SMITH

Lura E. "Mary" Smith age 88 died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Trinity Retirement Center in Columbus . Services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Duncan officiating, burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery , Reform AL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM

Mrs. Smith was born on Saturday, April 07, 1928 in AL to the late Milton Carlos and Dora Hudson Roberts. She was a member of East End Baptist Church and a retired nurse. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John “Rusty” Smith, her sisters, Ruby McCloud, Roxie Guy, Pearl McCafferty, Pauline Williams, Bessie Mae Roberts, her brothers, John, Carl, Ivy, Carlos, and Jim Roberts, and John “Buck” Island .

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, and a special friend Shirley Faulkner
