Antoinette Jean Holcomb

November 2, 1945 — February 17, 2017

Antoinette Jean “Toni” Gallardo Holcomb, age 71, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland, MS.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the atrium of Annunciation Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection, with Father Robert Dore and Father Gerry Hurley, celebrants, will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at a later date in Union Highland Cemetery in Florence, CO.

The daughter of Paul Gallardo and the late Beatrice Trujillo Gallardo, Mrs. Holcomb was born November 2, 1945 in Canon City, CO. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mississippi University for Women. She was a retired Dept. of Defense Civil Service employee, working for 36years at Columbus Air Force Base, most recently as Director of EEOC. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother Paul “Sonny” Gallardo, Jr.

She is survived her husband Charles Eugene Holcomb of Caledonia, her daughters and sons-in-law Tonya Welch Sweeney and Rush  of Brandon, MS and Tina Welch Dancer and Steven  of Madison, MS and her son and daughter-in-law  Steven  and Karen Welch of Pulaski, TN, her father Paul Gallardo and her brother Dennis Gallardo, both of Florence, CO. She is also survived by six grandchildren Coty (Kaylee) Welch, Katherine Welch, Taylor Dancer, Parker Dancer, Seth Sweeney  and Sarah Sweeney and one great grandchild Asher Welch.

Pallbearers will be Jason Windle, Earl Windle, Brian Windle, Coty Welch, Tim Welch and David Gaddy. Honorary pallbearers will be Sewth Sweeney, Parker Dancer and Asher Welch.
