Betty Kate Sanford
March 7, 1948 — March 4, 2017
Mrs. Sanford was born March 7, 1948, in West Point, MS, to the late Willie Frank and Faye Jeanette Clark Brown. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School. Mrs. Sanford was a longtime funeral director, insurance administrator, and prearrangement counselor at Gunter & Peel and Memorial Funeral Homes. She was loved dearly by all of her coworkers and patrons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Brown and Benny Brown.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Pounders and his wife Holly of Rockvale, TN, and Wesley Sanford and his wife Katie of Tulsa, OK, sisters, Frankie Legg of Columbus, MS, and Eloise Seal of Picayune, MS, brother, Bill Brown of Columbus, MS, and six grandchildren. <iframe id="tukios_player_512x330" allowfullscreen="true" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0" height="330" scrolling="no" src="https://www.tributeslides.com/videos/embedded_video/NNKBJ3PTYTHGF2XL" width="512"></iframe>
