Alton Junior Forrester
May 28, 1931 — April 1, 2017
2017, at his residence with his wife and sister-in-law present. He went to
be with the Lord peacefully after several months of illness. A family
graveside service will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in
Atmore, AL. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Forrester was born May 28, 1931, in Burnsville, MS, to the late L.
G. and Ella Jane Lambert Forrester. He was a graduate of Caledonia High
School and was a United States Navy veteran of Korea serving on several
aircraft carriers. Mr. Forrester retired as owner and operator of Cabinet
Remodeling Shop. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he served
as a deacon and belonged to the John Wierango Sunday School Class. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and four
sisters. He was the last of nine children.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Louise Forrester of
Columbus, MS, and many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers- in- law.
