Tammy Lynn Woolbright, 59, of Columbus passed away April 3, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in the family plot in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Melvin Gleason “Bud” and Leona Drinkard Woolbright, Tammy was born October 28, 1957 in New Orleans, LA. At 16, she left New Hope High School to attend Mississippi University for Women, where she was a member of many clubs and honor societies and graduated with a B.S. in social work. She received her law degree from the University of Mississippi and worked as an attorney for more than three decades in Columbus. In 1996 she married the late Frank B. Liebling. Tammy loved traveling and made many trips to various destinations in the United States and abroad. Some of her favorite places to visit were in Europe and South America. She loved telling others about her adventures and showing pictures of her travels. Most importantly, Tammy enjoyed spending time with her cats, friends and family and was often known to show pictures of them all to anyone she met.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Kenneth G. and Allison Woolbright and her beloved nieces Alexandra, Meredith, Kensley and Annie Woolbright, all of Columbus.
Pallbearers will be Chris White, Neil White, Don Flores, Gary Moore, Tony Hooper, and Mike Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ables, Sr., David Van Every, Tommy Mayfield, David Berg, Kim Fulcher and Bobby Bowen.
