PEGGY YEATMAN
Mary Peggy Yeatman age 90 passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Windsor Place Nursing & Rehab in Columbus. Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Bray officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:30 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Yeatman was born on Saturday, December 25, 1926 in McCool, MS to the late Elmer Bertrand and Mozelle Dill Bowie. She graduated from McCool High School and was valedictorian of her class. She then attended MSCW, after she graduated, she married Thomas Halbert Yeatman, Jr., they had been marred for 68 years until he passed away this past November. Mrs. Yeatman was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church (formally Central United Methodist Church). She was the manager of Knight’s Rest Motel that she and her husband owned. Later, she was a teaching assistant at Sale Elementary where she loved working with the children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Halbert Yeatman, Jr.
