Jerry Wayne Honeycutt

October 9, 1969 — May 10, 2017

Jerry Wayne Honeycutt, age 47, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the University of Alabama - Birmingham Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The son of Bernice and Barbara Jackson Honeycutt, Jerry was born October 9, 1969 in Columbus. He was a member of Zion Gate Church of God and a graduate of Robert S. Caldwell High School.   He was employed by Gulf States Manufacturing in management at the time of his death and had previously worked for CeCo.

He is survived by his son Tyler Honeycutt and daughter Abbie Honeycutt, both of Caledonia, his step-son Justin Rye of Columbus and his step-daughter Magen Rye of Hattiesburg; a brother Charles David Honeycutt and sisters and brothers-in-law Regina and Chris  Daniel  of Hamilton, MS and Kayla H. and Riley  Massey of Amory, his parents Bernice and Barbara Honeycutt of Columbus, his former wife/caregiver Stacy L. Guild and nephews Christian and Noah Daniel.

Pallbearers will be Tim Welch, Len Rye, Tyler Honeycutt, Justin Rye, Brad Alexander and Chris Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Daniel and Dr. Cameron Huxford.
