The interment will immediatel y follow at Mem o rial Gardens of Columbu s. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Massey was born August 4, 1928, in Columbus, MS, to the late Charles and Mattie Vails McKellar. She enjoyed volunteering at the voting polls and as a Pink Lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Massey was a member of East End Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leland B. Massey.
Survivors include her son, Richard P. Massey and his wife Carol of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Sylvia Boone of Columbus, MS, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be men of East End Baptist Church.
