27, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017,
at 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating.
The interment will immediately fo llow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mrs. Godney was born May 11, 1952, in Presque Isle, ME, to the late
Ernest and Dorris May Nowland, Sr. She was a graduate of Smyrna, TN, High
School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
brother, Michael Nowland, and sister, Mona Nowland Mathis.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Ronald Godney, Sr., son,
Ronald Godney, II, and his wife Kim of Hamilton, MS, daughter, Erin D. Ryan
and her husband Patrick of Newport News, VA, brother, Ernest Nowland of
Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, John, Jeremy, Julie, Brittany,
Mason, and Jade, and great grandchildren, Hailey, Aubree, Brayden, Bentley,
and James.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
