LOVIE PERKINS

Lovie Gwendolyn Perkins age 84, died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rhodes and Rev. Walter Butler  officiating.  Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perkins was born on Saturday, August 20, 1932 in Columbus to the late Pheba Smith. She was a longtime operator for Bell South Telephone Company. She also worked at Columbus Air Force Base as an operator, then Trustmark Bank. After her retirement she was a “Pink Lady” volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
