DOROTHY "DOT" BELL
Dorothy Lee Crain Bell, age 89, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 16,
2017, at The Windsor Place. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 20,
2017, at
10:00 AM
at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David
Westmoreland officiating. The interment will follow at
2:00 PM
at Puckett
Baptist Church Cemetery in Puckett, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, July
19, 2017, from
5:00 - 7:00 PM

Mrs. Bell was born November 20, 1927, in Puckett, MS, to the late
Plummer and Mittie Cook Crain. She grew up in Puckett, MS, and was the
Valedictorian of her graduating class at Puckett High School. Mrs. Bell
worked 35 years for American Bosch in Columbus, MS. She was a devoted wife,
mother, and grandmother, who loved to cook, garden, and attend church. She
was a member of Border Springs Baptist Church of Steens, MS. She will be
greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by husband,
Orville P. Bell, who has surviving children, Janice, Donna, and Steve from
Brooksville, MS. Also deceased are brothers Lamar "Doc" Crain of Puckett,
MS, Larue "Brownie" Crain of Roseburg, OR, and sisters Odell Burnham of
Brandon, MS, Corene Sullivan of Mendenhall, MS, and Louie Paterson of St.
Augustine, FL.
Survivors include brother, Pete (Beulah) Crain of Puckett, MS,
children, Harold (Susan) McCrimon of Guntown, MS, Dianne (Alvin) Loftis of
Steens, MS, Glenda (Don) Youngblood of Collierville, TN, Kathy Aycock of
Gulfport, MS, grandchildren, Lynn (Lori), McCrimon, Clint McCrimon, Joe
(Donna) Loftis, Lee (Patti) Loftis, Julie (Robert) Pugh, Wesley (Erika)
Youngblood, Mackenzie (Hays) Livingston, Parrish (Amy) Williams, and Jason
(Richard) Graziano-Williams, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
