Geri Elaine McClusky, age 48, of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. Services, with Rev. Kenny Gardner officiating, will be Friday, August 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery.
The daughter of Jerry and Elaine Rickard McCluskey, Geri was born July 9, 1969 in Columbus. She was loved by so many. Her legacy has personally touched those who were impacted by her willingness to serve the Lord. Geri’s journey began when she was placed as the " House Mother" of the Avante’ House, pouring her loving spirit into the hearts of many women for the glory of God. Her journey continued with the Kairos Prison Ministry and as a pilgrim on her Walk to Emmaus #314. She was a member of the North Mississippi Emmaus Community. She strived to walk with her Lord, and many others found their faith through a vibrant woman of God. She was predeceased by her grandparents Paul and Beatrice Rickard and Roy and Lorene McCluskey.
In addition to her parents Jerry and Elaine McCluskey, she is survived by her daughter Lacie McClusky, grandchildren Aleigha, Raleigh and CJ Webb, her sister Kay Jenness, her neice and nephew Leslie and Keith Jenness, and one great neice and one great nephew.
Pallbearers will be Troy Rickard, Glenn Rickard, Bill Vaughan, Randy Oswalt, Tracy Crowson and Russell Conn. Honorary pallbearers will be Friends of Bill W., Wayne Peeks, David Phelps, David Wood, Alex Rickard, Jeff Leonard, Jimmy Knight and Keith Jenness.
