Nadine Gates
November 30, 1921 — August 13, 2017
Mrs. Gates was born November 30, 1921, in Ethelsville, AL, to the late Albert E. and Viola Duncan Sobley. She was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County and retired from Seminole Manufacturing after 30 years. Mrs. Gates enjoyed spending time with her family, and enjoyed gardening and animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Gates, and siblings, Charlie Sobley, Fred Sobley, Maurice Sobley, Cleavie
Nemeth, Judy Finger, Jewell Barnes, Katherine Cochrane, and Florentine Coleman.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Hope, Woody Crowe, Andrew Junkin, Tommy Holliday, Robert L. Jacobs, and Robert B. Jacobs.
