Oktibehha County, MS, with Rev. Jimmy Ray officiating. Visitation will be
Tuesday, September 5, 2017 , from 1:00 - 1:30 PM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Buchanan was born May 23, 1934, in Mayhew, MS, to the late Willie
Edgar and Mary Belle Odum Blankenship, Sr. She retired from Seminole
Manufacturing. Mrs. Buchanan was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and
former member of East End Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Buchanan, Sr., and
brothers, Willie Edgar Blankenship, Jr., George William Blankenship, and
James Raymond Blankenship.
Survivors include her son, Thomas E. Buchanan, Jr. of Starkville, MS,
brother, Larry Blankenship of Starkville, MS, sister, Mary Thompson of
Columbus, MS, grandchildren, David Gray, Michael Buchanan, Mathew Buchanan, Charlsey Buchanan, and Coleson Buchanan, and 10 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
