BUCK ELDER
Paul Ferguson “Buck” Elder age 69, died Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at his residence in Columbus. Memorial services with U.S. Navy Honors will be held Saturday, September 09, 2017 at 3:00 PM at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jearl Hunley officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Buck was born on Tuesday, February 4, 1948 in Columbus, MS to the late Robert Paul and Claire Lolita Ferguson Elder. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was retired from, and remained a part-time building inspector for the City of Columbus. He was an avid MSU football and baseball fan and enjoyed spending time in the Left Field Lounge. Buck was also participated in the Roast-N-Boast competition as a member of Leroy’s OIC Cooking Team. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed grilling and spending time with his grandchildren
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Elder Lee, his brother Bobby Elder, and his mother and father-in-law Leroy and Marie Thompson Langford.
