JUDITH ANN (JUDY) TURNAGE

We would like to acknowledge the passing of our beloved mother, Judith Ann (Judy) Gentry Turnage on Sunday, 24 September, 2017.  She passed peacefully at her residence in Columbus.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Marvin (Buddy) Turnage and her parents Merrill R Gentry and Ava B. Burkett Gentry.  She is survived by two daughters Wendy Carol Turnage Morton (Eddy) and Karen Marie Turnage Jones(Flash), four grandchildren Justin, Matthew, Jacob, Axel and one newly acquired great grandchild Barrett.  She is also survived by five siblings: Thomas R. (Tommy) Gentry, Robert W. (Bobby) Gentry, Lawrence B. (Larry) Gentry, Merilyn Jean Gentry, and Mary Virginia (Ginny) Gentry Bailey.  She devoted her life to God, her husband, her children, and her church combining this with an extended professional career with the Mississippi University for Women from 1983 to 2009.  Graveside services were held in Memorial Garden in Columbus following her death. In lieu of flowers please send donations to  Shaeffer’s Chapel United Methodist Church Youth Ministry.  The family would like to say a special thank you to Baptist H ospice in Columbus Mississippi for all their support and their love during this time
