Kantack was stationed with the Eighth Air Force Strategic Command. A gifted child, she excelled in school and was especially talented in piano and voice. A Catholic, she guarded her faith and especially prayed for others, both living and dead, because she cared so much for other people. She was meek, humble and saintly and believed in Jesus and professing her faith. She was a graduate of Archbishop Blank High School in New Orleans, and she attended Loyola University and Holy Cross College in New Orleans and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, majoring in education. From the age of 17, she experienced difficult illnesses that required discipline, faith, courage and grit.
She is survived by her father Paul W. Kantack, her brother and sister –in-law Keith C. and Jerri Lamar Kantack of Tupelo, MS, her niece Emma Driscoll Kantack , as well as her little dog, Ginger Snap, a white toy poodle.
