Ricky Wayne Williams, age 61, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 14,
2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 18,
2017, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel College St. location. The
interment will immediately follow at Botters Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.
Visitation will be Friday, November 17, 2017 , from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at
Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory College St. location.
Mr. Williams was born January 26, 1956, in Columbus, MS, to the late
Wilbur and Sible Norris Williams. He worked for Associated Architecture for
many years and co-owned and operated Williams Woodworks with his brother,
Ray Williams. Mr. Williams attended the Church of God. He enjoyed playing
the guitar, civil war re-enacting, fishing, metal detecting, spending time
with his grandchildren, and he was a WWII enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy Thompkins Williams of
Columbus, MS, son, Nick Williams and his wife Reagan of Caledonia, MS,
daughters, Becky Frodsham and her husband Steve of Yorktown, VA, Mandy
Duffner and her husband Robert of Columbus, MS, and Kristy Lorenz and her
husband Aaron of Caledonia, MS, brothers, Ray Williams of Caledonia, MS,
Allen Williams of Caledonia, MS, and Scott Williams of Caledonia, MS,
sister, Lisa Halverson of Columbus, MS, and grandchildren, Alyssa Lorenz,
Ava Frodsham, Anna Frodsham, Emma Wilson, Dylan Lorenz, Jack Frodsham, Leah
Wilson, Noah Lorenz, Mason Lorenz, Jackson Duffner, Wesson Duffner, and
Henry Williams.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Williams, Terry Bishop, Jerry Pounders, Allen Williams, Scott Williams, and Mike Fittes. Honorary pallbeaers will be Mickey Bishop, Johnny Harper, Aaron Lorenz, Robert Duffner, Ray Williams, Steve Frodsham, Jeff Bishop, Josh Hodges, Zack Phipps, and "Little Jerry" Pounders.
