Ronnie Gene Tate

Ronnie Gene Tate, age 71, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 27, 2017, at Aurora Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 2nd Ave. North location with Rev. Grant Mithcell officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Tate was born May 24, 1946, in Columbus, MS, to the late Clark and Beatrice McDaniel Tate. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus and Lowndes County. Mr. Tate was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Caledonia United Pentecostal Church of Caledonia, MS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Lee Tate.
Survivors include his brother, Sidney Ray Tate of Atlanta, GA, nephews, Scott Tate, Stacey Tate, and Michael Lee Tate, Jr. and many cousins.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Jones, Ray Guy, Tommy Spruill, Tony Cates, Michael Lee Tate, Jr., and Quitman Lambert.
