Harvey George Finger
September 27, 1934 — December 11, 2017
2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday,
December 14, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The interment
will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with full
military honors. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the
service. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory College St. location
is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Finger was born September 27, 1934, in Moline, IL, to the late
Frank and Ruth Moore Finger. He retired from the United States Air Force
and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to his parents,
Mr. Finger was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ruth Sobley Finger, and
sisters, Mary Carlson and Marceline Hundley.
Survivors include his daughters, Judy Hope and her husband Kenneth,
Deborah Junkin and her husband Richard, and Dawn Byrd and her husband
Kenneth, all of Columbus, MS, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews.
