SYLVIA McGAHEY

Sylvia Green McGahey age 92 died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at  Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Butler officiating,  burial will follow at Piney Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs McGahey was born on Wednesday, February 21, 1925 in Richton, MS to the late Jessie Lloyd and Elma Mayedna Reeves Green. She was a member of First Baptist Church and had attended Bethel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Warren McGahey.
