Gladys Louise House, age 80, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Generations of Vernon, Vernon, AL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 2nd Avenue North location. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Taylor officiating.
The daughter of the late James A. House and Ethel Perrigin House Butler, Miss House was born September 23, 1937 in Caledonia, MS. She had been a resident of Generations of Vernon for 43 years. She was a Baptist and attended worship services at the nursing home. She loved baby dolls, babies, and her family In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father Thomas Butler, her sister Lucille Woolbright, her brothers Louis House and Leon House and a half-brother Jep C. Woolbright and nephews Pete Woolbright, Mark Woolbright and Bubba House.
She is survived by her half-brother Buddy House of Aberdeen, MS, her step-sister Lois Borst of Bossier City, LA, nieces Lorrie Kay Ashing, Shelia Lovenguth, Jane House, Pat Chism, Gail Watson, Tina Perry, and Stacy Graves and nephews Wayne Woolbright, Arnold Woolbright, Thomas Woolbright, Tim Borst and Randy Borst and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
