BILL SMITH

William Leon Smith "Bill" of Glen St Mary, Fl. went home to be with the Lord on 1/22/18. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. January 27, 2018 at Memorial Gunter Peel 2nd Ave N Chapel with Rev. Granville Wiggins officiating; burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

William was born December 26, 1941 in Columbus, MS. and was the son of Pheba Smith and Dr. Leon Cicero Ellis. He had 2 Siblings he loved dearly. Sister Lovie Perkins and Brother Kenny Smith.

One of his greatest accomplishments was marrying the love of his life, Mary Jean Smith April 9, 1994. He enjoyed family, friends, Mississippi Stud, Black Jack, Bannana Pudidng, Elvis, Busting Your Balls and Making you laugh.

But, most importantly he believed in his Lord Jesus Christ. He went to heaven a shoutin.

He is proceeded in death by mother Pheba Smith, wife Mary Jean Smith, sister Lovie Perkins, and son William Leon Smith Jr.

Survivors include his lil brother Kenny Smith, his daughter Sandra Lynn Testa and son in law Randy Testa, daughter Phoebe Nipper and son in law Scott Nipper, son Josh Parks and fiance Amara Hutchinson, son Timmy and daughter Tyna. His grandchildren Leslie Nipper "Punkin", Dalton Nipper, Dillon Nipper, Nicholas Testa , Finley Parks, beloved granddog peanut and numerous famliy members he was very proud of.

William was one of a kind. You either loved him or hated him, but we loved him very much. A true heart of gold.
