CHARLES MEDLEY

Charlie Carroll "Charles" Medley, age 78, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 24, 2018, at his residence.  A memorial service will be Sunday , January 28, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel 2nd Ave. location with Rev. Anne Russell Bradley officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Medley was born January 28, 1939, in Iuka, MS, to the late Joseph Carroll and Jessie Mae Pitts Medley.  He was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and served in the United States Army.  Mr. Medley worked at R & D Maintenance for the Corp of Engineers for many years and was a member of the Columbus Kiwanis Club.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering.

Survivors include his son, Scott Medley of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Karen Keen of Houston, TX, sisters, Lona Odum of Liberty, TX, Shirley Gaines, Nancy Wollenman, and Linda Stiles, brothers, Clayton Medley and John Didlake, five grandchildren, one  great grandchild, nephew, David Odum of Spring, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
