Mrs. Perkins was born May 4, 1923, in Parsons, KS, to the late Charles Owen and Elizabeth Teague. She was a member of Main Street Presbyterian Church and was a bookkeeper and manager of two Stamp Redemption Centers in New Jersey and New York before moving to Columbus in 1973. At that time she worked for Virginia's Fabrics and as a sales associate for Egger's in Leigh Mall. Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elder M. Perkins, brother Charles O. Teague, Jr., sister, Alice Mason, step- son and wife, Richard and Bonnie Perkins, step daughters, Nina Richardson and Deanna Froman, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Perkins.
Survivors include step- son, Robert M. Perkins of Columbus, MS, step- daughter, Nancy Vaghy of Detroit, MI, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be James Wright, Henry Pilkinton, Bill Laws, Allan Brewer, Grover Allgood and Roger Day. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Arnold, Rev. Craig Barnard, Rick Wright, Richard Laws, Doug Yelverton, Jerry Franks and Billy Swedenburg.
