Blanche Greggs

Mrs. Sara  Blanche Cole Greggs, age 82, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Garden Hill Assisted Living & Personal Care. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 2nd Avenue North location. Private, family graveside services will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Egger Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Gillon officiating.

The daughter of the late William M. and Laura Burton Cole, Mrs. Greggs was born January 2, 1936 in Columbus. She was a graduate of New Hope High School and a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church.  She owned and operated Fairview Nursery out of her home for many years. Later she was employed as Bookkeeper/Secretary  for Winston-Savelle Insurance Agency. For over thirty years, the Greggs operated a mobile concession business. specializing  in fried pork skins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased  by two sisters Margaret Basinger and Catherine Proctor, her brother Russell Cole, her son Mark G. Greggs and her husband Marion " Nurt" Greggs.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Leigh Anne Greggs of Steens, MS and three grandchildren Amanda Martin (Kyle), Houston Greggs and Lane Greggs.
