Donald Ray Bishop
June 9, 1942 — April 27, 2018
Mr. Bishop was born June 9, 1942, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late Melvin Franklin and Mary Ann Harmon Bishop. He worked for 42 years as an auto body technician at various auto body and paint shops. Mr. Bishop loved his family and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Vernell Williams Bishop of Caledonia, MS, daughters, Donna Harrell of Columbus, MS, Lisa Murphy and her husband Glenn of Sulligent, AL, and Pam Bowen and her husband Steve of Caledonia, MS, sister, Mary Frances Palmer of Caledonia, MS, grandchildren, Mindy Criddle, Donald Harrell, Teresa Kimbrough, A. J. Murphy, Kaylee Bowen, and Ella Bowen, and great grandchildren, Allie Criddle, Sadie Criddle, Jessie James Kimbrough, Jr., and Gabriel Kimbrough.
Pallbearers will be Steve Bowen, Donnie Harrell, Matthew Wells, David Neyman, Clifton Bishop, and H. A. Murphy.
