Sarah Ruth Catlett

Sarah Ruth Catlett, age 91, of Columbus, MS, formerly of Sikeston, MO, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2018, at 9:30 AM at Trinity Healthcare.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston, MO.  The interment will immediately follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Visitation will also be Monday, April 30, 2018 , from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 2nd Avenue North  location.

Her passionate faith in God and love for family and friends never wavered.  Mrs. Catlett was born September 15, 1926, in Rudy, AR, to Roxada Simpson and Lee Reece.  She was preceded in death by both parents, her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Forrest "Slim" Catlett, grandson, Chris Sulick, great grandson, William Braddock, five  sisters and three brothers.

Ruth expressed her love through her many talents.  She was a talented seamstress, crafter and cook.  Her delicious family recipes, written down step-by-step, are priceless gifts.  She was always first to bring meals when needed.  She was a loving wife and mother, cherished grandmother, "MeMe", sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be incredibly missed by so many, including her daughter, Shirley Catlett of Columbus, MS, son, Wayne Catlett of San Jose, CA, daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Denny Sulick of White Stone, VA, grandchildren, Marcus Braddock, Jason and Braley Braddock, Chris Catlett, Sarah and Andrea Palisca, Amanda and Danielle Catlett, Jennifer and Al Konwerski, Patrick and Ashley Sulick, great grandchildren, Addison Braddock, Victoria Braddock, Isabella and Matteo Palisca, Sophia and James Konwerski, one brother, two sisters, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Carl Bogle, Lee Brown, Allen Lancaster, Larry Wilson, James Figley, and Raymond Reece.
