Robert Williams

Robert Dale Williams, age 78, of Montevallo, AL, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away August 28, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday, August 31, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel College St. location with Pastors Terry and Shirley Hosmer officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Williams was born September 10, 1939, in Vernon, AL, to Loventrice Lawson Swindol of Montevallo, AL, and the late James W. Williams. He retired from Columbus Butane after 29 years and enjoyed watching westerns. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jean Mahaffey Williams.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his sons, Randy Hollingsworth and his wife Melba of Caledonia, MS, Timothy Dale Williams and his wife Glenda Fay of Montevallo, AL, and Kenneth Wayne Williams and his wife Zane of Montevallo, AL, grandchildren, Phillip Booth, Jacob Hollingsworth, Jonathan Hollingsworth, Ashley Jeannette Williams, Courtney Renee Williams, Halee Hicks, Johnathan Hicks, and Dustin Hicks, and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
