Van Lee Hunley III, age 37, of Caledonia died Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Columbus, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Yorkville Heights Church of God with Scott Volland officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Rowan Cemetery in Steens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, College St. Location is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hunley was born on Tuesday, April 21, 1981 to Van Lee and Irene Flint Hunley, Jr. He was a graduate of East Mississippi Community College with a degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. Mr. Hunley served in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a Chef for East Mississippi Community College.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Miles Hunley (Sabrina Salter) of Columbus, MS and Jared Hunley (Casey) of Columbus, MS; sisters, Lydia Gonzales (Reynaldo, Jr.) of Caledonia, MS and Sarah Haynes (Robbie) of Caledonia, MS; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Miles Hunley, Jared Hunley, Reynaldo Gonzales, Robbie Haynes, and Josh Montgomery.
